Paul’s diverse musical interests are reflected in his compositional output, an output that ranges from music for middle school and church choirs to chamber ensemble and works for accordion and electronics. Paul’s music has been performed at conferences, festivals, and venues throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia and is published through Hal Leonard, Carl Fischer, E.C. Schirmer and BriLee Press.
Paul is also one of the hosts of Note Doctors, a podcast where he gets to nerd-out about music theory pedagogy with music theory instructors from around North America. Paul was the recipient of the Texas Woman’s University Innovation in Academia Award in 2020 and Distinction in Scholarship Award in 2022.
